Emailing y’all twice a week starting August 1, 2022
Hey folks,
As you all know I’ve been publishing daily since March 1 (with the exception of one long weekend). Save for 5 articles, everything else was free.
The reason I posted daily thus far was to show that I was committed to this project and that it wasn’t a one-off idea thought up in the shower. And to show you all a taste of my musical palette. But daily posting means a lot of time planning, writing, and scheduling, with little room for lapses. And essays take more time to plan, write and edit. I also had to let go of my fictional publicist because I’m not earning enough from this newsletter to afford her services. I’m amazed that I’ll be pulling this off for 5 months, but daily publishing is not sustainable ultra-long-term.
I’ll be job hunting: looking for copywriting freelancing opportunities, and also 9-to-5 gigs. So, I need the time to do all those things. Plus, I want the weekends to explore Toronto a bit more before autumn sets in.
A summary of changes and perks from August onward

You’ll get 2 song recommendation emails in your inbox each week, on weekdays
An essay whenever I publish it; could be one of the two emails sent out that week
The monthly State of the Newsletter post summarizing trends and lessons learned
Monthly subscribers and readers who tip me on Ko-Fi 💖
All benefits as free subscribers, AND
A monthly Spotify and Apple Music playlist of 30 or 31 tracks spanning a variety of genres and languages— What’s Curation? style that you know and love 🎶 AND
Exclusivity to any additional posts that spontaneously combust in my head.
If you’ve been reading and listening for a while and would like to further support with a recurring paid subscription, tap the button again to upgrade. Or check the footer in this email for the link.
If monthly recurring is not an option for you, you can use your credit card to leave a one-time tip (in multiples of $5 via Ko-Fi) and get the perks for just that month. Tip as you go! Bookmark the link, and I hope to win you over! 😄
I’ll be happy to take any questions from you in the comments. What’s Curation? is not going anywhere, so don’t worry!
Back to the music!
See you all tomorrow,
-Nikhil.
