Thanks for being here, Oleg. I have Mark Dykeman to thank for the fortuitous introduction! I've got a call tomorrow with an adtech startup who are looking to connect brands with newsletter writers for sponsorship. If it sounds interesting and worthwhile, I might try to raise some capital for 'What's Curation?' via that.
It's alright. Learning stuff from you and other creators though, particularly in the areas of marketing, collaborations and general publicity. As for the writing itself, its amazing and my enjoyment of it has only increased.
A key aspect of my marketing is that I think of the audience as my friends or well-wishers. Every post is me reaching out to a buddy to share something fun, silly, or serious that's happened to me. Everyone does it a little differently, but that's the not-so-secret-anymore sauce!
The ideal post will be a marriage of H1, H2, keywords, your unique tone of voice, flow of content and a call-to-action. But always have fun with it, and I'm glad you are!
Congrats on reaching 200 Nikhil, I always enjoy your newsletter.
Having launched the serialisation of my music themed novel at: challenge69.substack.com back in July I'm now just 7 subscriptions short of my initial 'three figure' target, perhaps you (and some of your kindly readers) might just help me over that line!
PS. I'm always up for a 'musical maverick' motivated guest post. If that works for you just give me a shout. Thanks again for 'What's Curation?'
That's quite impressive in the short time since July, Tim! Don't worry, you'll do great! Be sure to focus on putting good work out consistently. The right mix of marketing and writing will help the numbers along. If you feel like you need a strategy, book a discovery call and let's see if we can do business!
Nice work, man! Keep going!
Right on! Thanks for being here and all the support! If you think of any rad ideas, keep me posted.
Of course! And I'll keep you posted with any bright ideas I might have. :)
Proud to represent Lithuania on the map! And great seeing you grow man.
