Love it. I'm a Spotify person myself. Speaking of Halsey, I heard about this on a podcast a few days ago: On Sunday, May 22, pop singer-songwriter Halsey posted a video to TikTok venting about how her label, Capitol Records, wouldn’t release her new single until it had a viral TikTok to go with it. I am a Billie Eilish fan :)
I have a friend in Cincinnati who told me that artists these days make songs focused solely on them used as TikTok background songs. That’s literally how you ruin a song forever.
This is partly what Elon Musk had a problem with on Twitter. People are still buying fake followers. I once met a guy at a conference who proudly shared that he made hundreds of thousands of dollars selling fake followers to some of the biggest people in the entertainment industry, with technology that had the fake followers making just enough posts to look vaguely real. The more followers they had, the more money they made for endorsements and many used them as a start. Once you have your first million another million will come. He named some of his clients, but as it is at least to some degree hearsay, I won't mention names. But they are household names.
Ooh I feel it. Great article 👏
Hahahah, good rant!
I don't blow up often, Jamie. And when I do, it's a sight to behold.
SERENITY NOW!
Amen!
Preach it, my brother!
